Teach Your Child Patience
- Let your kids learn and help with tasks that don't require as much patience (i.e., picking up toys versus folding laundry), then gradually work your way up to bigger tasks.
- Help them practice patience through mindful tasks like puzzles or coloring.
- It's important for kids to learn the value of quality over quantity! Encourage them to take their time when completing activities.
- Teach them breathing exercises or relaxation techniques to help when they feel overwhelmed or frustrated.
- If they seem restless - whether waiting in line at an amusement park or for food at dinner - remind them to be understanding of others and to be patient when waiting for things they want.
